Behind 15 Years of the Open
Celebrating Years of Commitment to Our Cause
Mark your calendars for the 15th Annual Semper Fi Open! Last year was nothing short of historic thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors and participants, who helped us raise just over $253,000 shattering records and pushing our grand total past the $2 Million mark for the first time in our history.
Now we're teeing up for something even bigger. This year, we're inviting you back to the course as we begin the climb toward $3 Million and we'll need every golfer, every sponsor, and every supporter to help us get there. Come be part of the legacy.

The Impact We Make
Why Semper Fi & America's Fund?
The Semper Fi Open was founded in 2012 by father-daughter duo Chris and Michelle Keogh with a mission to give back to our service members and veterans who have sacrificed for our safety and freedom. Chris’ friend, John Overton, teamed up with Michelle to get the ball rolling, and Chris asked them to independently research organizations for the tournament to support. After careful consideration, both John and Michelle came back with the same extraordinary organization at the top of their lists: Semper Fi & America’s Fund. Chris reached out to his friends at Shadowridge Golf Club, and in no time, a group of inspired individuals joined the effort, bringing the Semper Fi Open to life.
In the early years, the Keogh family business, Enviremedial Services, Inc., fully funded the cost of the event. Since then, the Keogh and Schwartzberg families have continued this support to ensure that every single dollar raised at the Semper Fi Open goes directly to Semper Fi & America’s Fund.
Michelle passed away weeks before the first Semper Fi Open while awaiting her second heart transplant. The Semper Fi Open is held in Michelle’s memory and to honor the service members and veterans who sacrificed life and limb for our great nation.
The Mission Statement: "Semper Fi & America’s Fund cares for our Nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families. Supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, we provide one-on-one case management, connection, and lifetime support. Today. Tomorrow. Together."
The Fund keeps its overhead exceptionally low in order to have the greatest impact on the lives of Veterans and their families, and has been awarded the highest ratings from watchdog groups: A+ from CharityWatch (one of only two Veteran nonprofits to receive their highest rating), a Charity Navigator 4-star rating for thirteen consecutive years (an achievement attained by only 2% of rated charities), and the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar.
